Butchertown Map

Slightly self-evident, this was the original meatpacking district of the city way back in the 1800s. But like other meat packing districts around the world such as in Copenhagen, Denmark, Butchertown has been gentrified and is now filled with boutiques, dining options and the cities first and only Brandy distillery. Bourbon Country’s only brandy distillery, Copper & Kings can be found here, where a sampling of spirits can be arranged on a guided tour. Though the neighborhood’s attractions are quite impressive, take a moment to admire the architecture of the Butchertown Historic District, including the 1866 St. Joseph Catholic Church.
