Lyndon, KY Map

Lyndon, Kentucky

Lyndon has got plenty of history to go around, like Oxmoor Farm, the home of Alexander Scott Bullitt, a drafter of Kentucky’s first constitution. In addition to that, in 1865 Louisville and Nashville railroad offered a local landowner to connect to their railroad so long as he took up the costs of settling it up. He agreed and that marked the beginning of the Lyndon depot service. In 1963 Lyndon was incorporated so as to prevent its annexation by the city of St. Matthews. Nowadays institutions like the Kentucky military institute and the Central State Hospital can also be found here in Lyndon.
