Germantown, Louisville, Kentucky

Alongside Old Louisville Germantown is one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods. As the name suggests, the area was named after the large influx of German immigrants that settled there in the 1800s. The neighborhood also boasts the largest collection of shotgun and camelback houses in the city. Every street corner in the area is certain to have a dive bar waiting for prospective patrons – a true character trait of the area. This has now extended to the rapid spread of eateries and bars all throughout the neighborhood.
