Shively, KY Map

Shively is Bourbon town, opening eight distilleries after the end of prohibition. As with many other areas around Louisville, the city attempts to annex and tax Shively during the Great Depression. But Shively just like Lyndon among others, was able to convince its citizens to incorporate their district as an independent city. Through the city has always been quite well funded, as they were able to create a $20 million dollar revenue source in spite of it being Kentucky’s fastest growing city during the 1950s.
