Iroquois Parkway, Louisville, Kentucky
Frederick Law Olmsted, the main planner for Louisville’s Iconic Parks, originally designed the Iroquois Park as a scenic reservation full of forested hills and breathtaking views available for the avid nature walker. Within the park on can find the “Work in Progress Administration” Iroquois Amphitheater built under “New Deal” oversight. It is an open-air theater with seating for 2,366 people. The park also features an iconic tulip popular tree believed to be the largest in the Louisville park system. Additionally, the park is part of the South Points Scenic Area.
